Branzly legal
Privacy Policy
How Branzly collects, uses, shares and protects personal information.
Last updated 31 October 2026
Who we are
Branzly provides creator intelligence, earnings estimates, research tools and paid Creator Studio services. This policy applies to www.branzly.com and Branzly services. For privacy questions or rights requests, use the Contact page and select General enquiry.
Information we collect
We receive account details such as your email address and profile information when you sign in, payment and subscription status from our payment provider, content you submit to tools or forms, and saved research associated with your account.
We also process device, browser, referrer, page, search and approximate location information for security, service operation and—only where you permit it—analytics and advertising. Creator reports use public information from creator platforms and official websites.
How we use information
We use information to provide accounts and subscriptions, run requested searches and generations, save work, enforce allowances, prevent abuse, answer enquiries, improve reliability and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information.
Service providers and transfers
We use specialist providers for hosting, authentication, payments, email, security checks, AI processing, analytics and creator-platform data. They process information only to provide their service under appropriate safeguards. Some processing may occur outside the UK or EEA with contractual or equivalent protections.
Retention and security
We retain account and billing records while your account is active and as required for tax, fraud prevention and legal claims. Saved work remains until you delete it or your account. Security and diagnostic records are kept only as long as reasonably needed. We use access controls, private storage and encrypted transport, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or export your personal information, or object to certain processing. You may withdraw optional consent at any time on the Cookie Policy page. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority.
Branzly browser extension
The optional Branzly Chrome extension shows Branzly data while you browse creator platforms. It uses a random, anonymous install ID that is not linked to your Branzly account, email or IP address. Usage sharing is off until you opt in inside the extension.
If you opt in, the extension sends the creator platform pages you look up (platform and profile name), YouTube search terms, YouTube channel and video identifiers, publicly visible figures shown on those pages, and the extension version. We do not store your IP address, full browsing URLs or account identity with this data.
We use it for analytics and trend research and to improve the accuracy of the creators we track; submitted figures are reviewed against our own data before anything changes on Branzly. Usage records are deleted after 180 days. You can opt out at any time by turning sharing off in the extension popup, and you can ask us to delete data linked to your install ID through the Contact page.
Connect with Google and YouTube data
Connecting a channel with Google is optional and separate from signing in to Branzly. We ask Google only for your basic profile (openid and email), read-only access to your YouTube account (youtube.readonly) and read-only access to YouTube Analytics (yt-analytics.readonly). We cannot upload, edit, delete or comment, and we never see your Google password.
We use this access only to confirm which channels you own and to show your own YouTube Analytics (such as views, watch time, subscribers, traffic sources, countries, devices and audience age and gender in aggregate) inside your Creator Studio. Your access tokens are encrypted and kept on our servers; they are never shown in your browser, shared with other members or sold, and the analytics are never used for advertising or to train AI models. We refresh the figures about once a day.
You can disconnect at any time from My channels in Creator Studio, which revokes our access at Google and deletes the stored analytics for that channel straight away. You can also remove Branzly from your Google Account permissions page (myaccount.google.com/permissions); when access stops that way, stored analytics are deleted within 7 days. Branzly’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements, and YouTube data is also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy).
Children and changes
Branzly is not directed to children under 16. We may update this policy when services or laws change; the date above shows the latest revision.
